Cogent Staffing Solutions was created in 2003 to be a clearly different and superior search firm, focused on total customer satisfaction. We set out to serve companies and job-seekers alike. We aimed to be an integral part of our clients' staffing plan and we strived to work hand-in-hand with job seekers to enable them to find the right opportunities.
In the time since, we have been able to realize that goal on our way to helping thousands of organizations and candidates throughout the country with our personalized service. As we look forward, our goal is to continue to grow, and help you grow, while maintaining our "boutique" appeal that our stakeholders currently enjoy.

Andrew Kaufman founded Cogent Staffing Solutions and continues to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the firm. Andrew attained an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. After devoting several years advancing in the accounting and finance profession, he completed his Masters of Business Administration at College Park, shifting his career to recruiting to make better use of his people skills and allow him to serve a broader clientele. After advancing within a national search firm for 7 years, he decided to start this new company where he could fully address clients’ needs and make more of a difference. During the past twenty years, Andrew has been responsible for every facet of the placement process many times over. He brings a high degree of energy and determination and an emphasis on customer satisfaction that exemplifies the organization.
